Transforming Cathedral Academy's Athletic Flooring

Cathedral Academy embarked on an exciting summer project that has completely transformed their gymnasium. In collaboration with our team, they decided to revamp their gymnasium floor from the ground up, and the result is nothing short of spectacular. We're thrilled to share this incredible transformation with you, and to make it even more exciting, we've captured the entire process in a mesmerizing time-lapse video.

Before:

Sanding Down to Bare Wood

The first step in Cathedral Academy's gymnasium makeover was to bring the  flooring back to its natural wood state. Using state-of-the-art equipment and a keen eye for detail, our expert team meticulously sanded the floor, removing years of wear and tear. The gymnasium's surface was soon glistening in its raw, untouched beauty, setting the stage for the stunning changes that would follow. 

Two Coats of Seal 

To protect and prepare the floor for the next steps, we applied two coats of seal. This not only ensured the longevity of the gym floor but also provided a smooth canvas for the upcoming design enhancements.

Unleashing Creativity: New Court Design and Logo

Cathedral Academy seized this opportunity to redefine their gymnasium's look. With boundless creativity and the guidance of our skilled team, the school made choices that would leave a lasting impression on anyone who stepped onto the floor.

We painted precise and vivid basketball and volleyball court markings, ensuring that the court was not only functional but also visually stunning. The intricate court designs brought a new energy to the gym, making it the perfect backdrop for thrilling games and practices.

The new and most exciting part of this whole process was undoubtedly the new center logo. With precision and care, we stained and painted a striking center logo that now proudly sits at the heart of the gymnasium, a symbol of pride and identity for Cathedral Academy.

Finishing Touch: Two Coats of Finish

To complete this transformation, we applied two coats of oil-modified finish. This finish not only adds a beautiful luster to the floor but also enhances its durability, ensuring that it will withstand the rigors of sports, events, and activities for years to come. The gymnasium now shines with a timeless elegance, a testament to the quality of our craftsmanship.
